Y With You

The mission of the Y is bigger than a building!

Every day we work to ensure kids have a safe place to go and food to eat, that older adults have a place to socialize, stay active and not be negatively impacted by isolation and loneliness, that everyone in our community has access to a place where they can connect and stay healthy.

That’s why it’s so important in uncertain times like these that incredible members like you stay with us – to help us in our quest to continue to do good in the community. Your relationship with the Y is what keeps us going, keeps us strong and keeps us in service to those who need it most. We thank you for that and want to let you know how we intend to continue connecting you over the next couple weeks, despite our buildings being closed.  We will also let you know of other responses to community need. 

Here, you will find a set of virtual tools, open-air resources, and information you can put to use while we all comply with public health efforts. It’s our way of helping you to stay active, healthy and connected in your own home, and in your own time.

Your parks are where you fly a kite, write your first novel, gaze at stars, do cartwheels, dance, have a good cry, see neighbors, and generally live your best life. Lawrence County Parks & Recreation, Pennsylvania Dept. of Conservation & Natural Resources and the National Parks Service have great parks for you to visit including West Park Nature CenterStavich Bike Trail, Neshannock Trail, McConnells Mill State Park and North Country National Scenic Trail.
